Rivers, Lakes and Water Sports

Angling

The following list includes waters available for fishing in the Cotswolds. Some venues require season tickets, others day tickets, but all require a National Rivers Authority Rod License which allows fishing anywhere in the country where fishing is permitted. Due to recent changes in the law, a closed season is only enforced on rivers, canals and streams, while the decision to allow lakes to remain open all year is left to those who lease the waters. During April and May it is worth checking with the landlords and clubs whose numbers are given, that the lakes they lease are open.
