I was going through some files and discovered this image I made last year (for no particular reason). No, it isn’t AI. I use 3D modelling and physically-based rendering, so it is a kind of virtual photography.
In the past I have attempted to use AI for images. It works when you want a stereotype image or you aren’t too fussy about the details. Ask it to make an image where it has very few patterns or templates to draw upon and it will produce an image where some parts are polished and other parts are incoherent. I wanted an image of Clotho spinning beneath the Moon (another traditional image found in Tarot) and ChatGPT clearly knew nothing about spinning. The biggest brain in the galaxy didn’t know how to spin a thread. I gave up. (Nice drapes though).
